Modular, low-profile isolating boards that reduce acoustic coupling
Additional boards for augmenting the HoverDeck systems or for any de-coupling use
Reduce coloration from floor resonance by de-coupling the drum kit from its support structure, resulting in a tighter, more pure sound for both studio and FOH
The Auralex HoverDeck systems are specifically engineered to reduce coloration from floor resonance by de-coupling the drum kit from its support structure, resulting in a tighter, more pure sound for both studio and FOH. Stages and traditional drum risers can, if incorrectly constructed, vibrate sympathetically (resonate) with drums and/or the PA system. This resonance in turn feeds back into the drums and is then picked up by the microphones. A rugged MDF laminate core and web-like ISO-Puck modular risers minimize these structure-borne sound transmission and sympathetic vibrations between drums and hardware, getting rid of muddy rumble or the fact that concrete floors can suck the tone out of the kick drum and floor tom. The HoverDeck HD-22 are additional low-profile isolating boards that can be used to augment the HoverDeck HD-66Gig or the HoverDeck HD-88Concert.
