The Cresnet® Bus
Cresnet is the communications backbone for many Crestron® keypads, lighting controls, shade motors, thermostats, occupancy sensors, and other devices that don't require the higher speed of Ethernet. It provides a dependable and flexible wiring solution, allowing multiple devices to be wired together in parallel using both home-run and daisy-chain topologies. The Cresnet bus distributes bidirectional data communication and 24VDC power to each device over a single 4-conductor cable.
Six-Segment Cresnet Hub
Without a Cresnet hub, the Cresnet bus supports a maximum of 20 devices and a maximum aggregate cable length of 3000 ft (914 m). Adding a Cresnet hub improves reliability for larger networks. A Cresnet hub divides the network into multiple isolated segments, each capable of supporting another 20 devices with 3000 ft (914 m) of additional cabling.[1]
Under-Table or Rack-Mountable
The CNXHUB is housed in a compact metal enclosure that can be placed on a shelf, attached under a table, or mounted in a 19 equipment rack. Its 1RU half-width form factor allows it to fit in a single rack-space alongside a second CNXHUB or other 1RU half-width Crestron device.
