The CS4349, an upgrade of the CS4341 and CS4341A, is a stereo audio digital/analog converter (DAC) based on an advanced multibit Delta-Sigma architecture with integrated volume control and 1VRMS single-ended output drive capability at 3.3V. It supports 24-bit resolution and up to 192 kHz sampling rates with 101dB dynamic range performance. The system includes digital interpolation, 5th order multibit Delta-Sigma modulation, digital de-emphasis, channel mixing, analog filtering and Cirrus Logic’s proprietary Popguard® (optional) and automatic sample-rate detection technologies. The CS4349 supports single-ended analog outputs and all standard digital audio interface formats, including both PCM and TDM. The primary target markets are applications such as set top boxes, digital televisions, DVD players and recorders and A/V receivers, as well as semi-professional audio markets such as audio interfaces, mixing consoles and musical instruments. The CS4349 is also ideal for automotive head end units, telematics, satellite radio modules and various in-car entertainment systems.
