IEEE-488 GPIB adapter/extension cable assemblies allow one connector to exit in the reverse direction than standard cables. This feature is sometimes desirable and necessary to avoid nearby obstructions or when extending existing cable assembly lengths. Additionally, the other end is male inline connector for easy connection to most PC GPIB equipment ports. Wiring is the same as standard GPIB cables, only connector orientation is reversed. Featuring an outer braid plus foil shield, these cables provide for enhanced protection against EMI (electromagnetic interference). Custom modifications are available with modest minimum requirements.
