Hsinchu, Taiwan, July 24, 2024 – Lumens Digital Optics Inc. has announced that its VC-TR40 AI-based auto-tracking PTZ camera has been certified for use with Zoom. This enables users to enable auto framing or motion tracking in meeting rooms and event spaces, enhancing production values and further improving meeting equity.

The PTZ camera can connect with Zoom using its native USB connector through integration with Lumens’ new USB extender devices which transmit USB over Ethernet networks. In each case, VC-TR40 is automatically recognized by the host computer for immediate use in Zoom meetings.

Unlike earlier generation tracking cameras, the VC-TR40 can be mounted to a wall or hung inverted from the ceiling. Its 20x zoom means that it can be installed at distances of up-to 10m from the subject, while still maintaining a close focus where required.
