Lumens Partners with Leading Microphone Brands for Taiwan's First Meeting Equity Seminar

Hsinchu, Taiwan, July 23, 2024 – Lumens Digital Optics Inc. held Taiwan's first Meeting Equity Seminar on June 25th - 27th in Taipei and Kaohsiung, respectively. The manufactured hosted internationally renowned microphone brands including Audio-Technica, Sennheiser, Shure and Yamaha to discuss the latest AI intelligent audio and video tracking solutions.

Lumens CamConnect Pro is an intelligent speaker tracking system with automatic camera switching. During the seminar, the various array microphones were integrated with Lumens PTZ cameras, providing attendees with a high-quality automated hybrid video conferencing experience. Cameras automatically switched to capture each speaker at the meeting, enhancing engagement during remote meetings and achieving true meeting equity.

Lumens CamConnect Pro delivers fully automated video conferencing

CamConnect Pro uses camera preset positions to focus on individuals in a meeting space. The system harnesses AI to center each individual within the frame in the event that they move from their original sitting position.

Audio-Technica Exclusive Beamforming Technology for Creating a Comfortable video conferencing Environment

Audio-Technica ATND1061 ceiling microphone features an exclusive beamforming technology paired with VAD (Voice Activity Detection), which can eliminate extraneous noises such caused by page turning, typing, and air conditioning. It specifically locks onto and tracks the speaker's voice within a designated area.

The microphone's performance is enhanced with built-in noise suppression and automatic mixing functions. The industry’s smallest and lightweight design allows for easy ceiling installation. It also supports two network audio protocols: the DANTE Audio and the proprietary AT-LINK.

Sennheiser Product Introduction and Technical Collaboration

Jessica Wong, Sales Manager of Business Communications at Sennheiser showcased the TeamConnect range of ceiling microphones to demonstrate its German engineering quality.

Through the collaboration with Lumens, Sennheiser simulated a realistic hybrid meeting scenarios where every person's voice and image in the room could be captured clearly and transmitted to remote guests. Besides video conference session, local participants also experienced the voice reinforcement in the room via Sennheiser Ceiling Microphone, enjoying rich sound capture from anywhere in the room without relying on external equipment.

The Integration of Shure Ceiling Microphone Arrays with Lumens Cameras

Thomas Lai, Market Development Manager at Shure, showcased the tracking capabilities of the MXA920 ceiling microphone array with Lumens cameras, emphasizing the seamless integration of Shure's audio technology with Lumens' imaging technology. The MXA920’s automatic coverage technology allows it to capture the voices of multiple speakers simultaneously, while advanced voice processing technology significantly reduces the impact of room noise, ensuring clear reproduction of speakers' voice content.

Combined with CamConnect Pro the system can automatically focus and frame speakers. This technology provides users with a convenient and immersive experience, offering a professional and efficient solution for remote conferencing.

Yamaha ADECIA Business Solution Achieves 360° Sound Tracking with Precision up to 1°

Kevin Chou, Yamaha Digital Audio Creative Center (YDACC) Technical Director at Yamaha, demonstrated the integration of Yamaha's ADECIA series with Lumens PTZ cameras and CamConnect Pro controllers, achieving 360° sound tracking with a possible precision of 1° for accurate sound capture and camera positioning.

In addition, Yamaha's newly launched Video Sound Bar CS-800 was also featured, showcasing its SoundCap Eye™ technology which uses face-focused beamforming to create virtual sound walls, even in open meeting spaces, enhancing audio pickup as if there were invisible conference room walls.

Bose Professional Beam-steering Array Technology and Audio Conferencing Processing

Bose Professional's MSA12X column array loudspeakers were used as the main venue's sound reinforcement system. These loudspeakers utilize beam-steering array technology to precisely project sound beam to cover entire audience seats, based on venue size and room shape. This ensures that every seats could enjoy balanced and consistent sound.

For remote communication and conferencing across various microphone brands were installed in breakout rooms. Bose Professional's EX-1280C served as the core audio conferencing processor. Featuring advanced acoustic echo cancellers(AEC) technology and company's expertise in sound tuning, Bose Professional enhances the remote meeting experience to feel as natural and effortless as face-to-face conversations, regardless of the microphone brand used.

Barco Enterprise Solutions Creating Transparent Wireless Spaces

The Barco ClickShare series, serving as a core enterprise-grade meeting room system, effortlessly integrates various video and audio hardware, with broad product compatibility and seamless integration. It helps enterprises address pain points in today's hybrid meetings, offering ISO-grade security certification, a five-year warranty, and remote management capabilities.

During the event, the latest generation CX-50 Gen2 from Barco ClickShare successfully integrated with Lumens' CamConnect Pro and various leading professional ceiling microphones. Attendees could enter the conference room and start a productive video conference within seconds using the room's AV equipment.
