CHALLENGE
The U.S. Navy’s Pacific Beacon project includes four, 18-story buildings that house nearly 2,000 sailors in 941 dual master-suite residences. The residences had to include an array of community amenities and the A/V systems had to be easy to use, networkable and aesthetically pleasing, among other requirements.
SOLUTION
AMX product was purchased off of the GSA approved list. A full AMX control system was installed in the lobby that aids property managers with the distributed audio/video system installed throughout the facilities. AMX control systems are installed in many parts of the facilities, including the roof-top pool deck, gym, outdoor patio area, training rooms and game rooms. They provided residents with the ability to simplify and customize their environments.
IMPACT
"We provided the residents and staff members with simplistic, easy to use AMX systems (touch screens and button panels) to control the various public area environments. It especially gave the residents the freedom and flexibility to control the public areas the way they wanted, when they were occupying them. The systems have been up and running for two years now, with almost zero down time and we have added a few additional AMX upgrades since the project was completed."
