Background
Born on St. Patrick's Day in 2013, Kenny’s Westside Pub is the premiere live music venue in Peoria. From local groups to larger regional or national touring acts, Kenny’s has become a destination venue for musical acts and patrons alike.
The Challenge
In the wake of the pandemic post 2020, what began as a way to continue bringing entertainment to the masses, Kenny’s has grown their need for live production and streaming of events. Simplified operation for a variety of staff, constantly changing lighting environments, and differing stage configurations all created interesting challenges for the space.
The Solution and Products
A combination of Marshall Electronics pan/tilt/zoom UHD low light cameras in conjunction with several portable miniature UHD fixed camera allow the ability to capture the stage from a wide variety of angles for multiple shots. These cameras all feed a Blackmagic studio production switcher with touch screen control for swift and creative transitions.
A live feed from the front of house console brings crystal clear audio from the stage and the crowd into the production.
The audiovisual show experience is simultaneously streamed to any number of platforms including Facebook Live and YouTube. In addition, the audiovisual feed is distributed internally throughout the pub to the office, restaurant, and bar where it is shown on flat panel displays and larger video projection systems along with the distributed audio system.
