Anchor Audio Introduces a New Generation of Portable PA Systems
Posted on Tuesday, October 16, 2018

Improvements to Anchor Audio’s portable PA systems provide superior audio with unmatched simplicity and reliability with a new wireless microphone platform and Lithium Ion batteries

SAN DIEGO. October 16, 2018– Anchor Audio, leading manufacturer of battery powered portable sound and public address systems, launched a new generation of portable PA systems on June 1, 2018.  The portable sound and portable PA systems continue to deliver clear, dependable audio and increased simplicity and reliability through the implementation of a new wireless microphone platform, AnchorLink, operating in the 1.9 GHz frequency range and new Lithium Ion batteries for longer battery life and reduced product weight.

In response to the FCC’s wireless frequency auction along with feedback from dealers and customers, Anchor Audio created AnchorLink, a wireless platform operating in the less populated and more reliable 1.9 GHz wireless frequency range. It provides 300+ feet line of sight wireless range, a significant improvement over the previous 150 feet, on the Bigfoot, Beacon, Liberty, Go Getter, and MegaVox. The Acclaim, AN-Mini, MiniVox, AN-1000X+, and CouncilMAN maintain a wireless range of 150+ feet line of sight. The Automatic Frequency Hopping offers an uninterrupted wireless performance. Each optional dual wireless receiver can connect up to two wireless microphones. All Anchor Audio PA systems have the capacity for two built-in dual wireless receivers, so customers can now connect up to four wireless microphones. Microphones only need to be paired once to the system making it more convenient to set up. AnchorLink is available in the Bigfoot, Beacon, Liberty, Go Getter, MegaVox, MiniVox, Acclaim, AN-1000X+, and CouncilMAN.

Anchor Audio also added Lithium Ion batteries to its rechargeable battery powered portable sound and PA systems. These batteries are rated to last 2,000 cycles, which is a significant improvement from the previously used Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) batteries that were rated for 250 cycles. The reduced weight of the new batteries results in a lighter speaker. In addition, each battery powered unit also offers an Active Fuel Gauge and a better performing storage battery life. Anchor Audio has increased the battery warranty from two years to four years. Rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries are available in the Bigfoot, Beacon, Liberty, Go Getter, MegaVox, and Acclaim.

The new Anchor Audio portable sound systems and portable public address systems with AnchorLink and Lithium Ion batteries are now shipping. Anchor Audio portable sound and PA systems can be used both indoors and outdoors for small and large audiences. Made in the USA and covered by a six-year warranty, customers can always count on Anchor Audio for a reliable portable audio solution.
