Ottawa, Canada – October 29, 2013 – Jupiter Systems, the leading worldwide supplier of collaborative visualization solutions for display walls, PCs, and mobile devices, introduced today in Ottawa its new TouchCommandTM multi-touch system for display wall control and room automation. The TouchCommand product is designed to support Jupiter Systems’ PixelNet® distributed display wall systems and Fusion CatalystTM display wall processors.

“TouchCommand takes control of the display wall and room automation to an entirely new level, uniting all aspects of device and facilities management on a single multi-touch screen,” said Brady O. Bruce, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Jupiter Systems. “The TouchCommand solution is designed for the ultimate in control and ease of use, making it easy for anyone to operate the system using familiar multi-touch gestures.”

Rapid Access to Critical Information
Jupiter’s TouchCommand is built on distributed network architecture, enabling rapid access to critical information throughout the facility. The system features a powerful search engine to help find sources quickly via keyword. TouchCommand runs on touch-enabled PCs and tablets and makes it possible to manage audio, projectors and displays, control lighting and other resources.

Maintaining Security
Security is paramount in order to safeguard restricted information.  Access to TouchComand is subject to user authentication requiring a valid user name and password.  Permissions to access individual display walls, sources, and features are defined by the administrator and managed by the TouchCommand Server.

Designed for the Enterprise
TouchCommand is built on a distributed network architecture. Its features extend throughout the facility, unlimited by location or distance. Authorized users can use TouchCommand to control remote video walls and room environments anywhere in the building or in other buildings within the enterprise. TouchCommand presents enterprise managers with real-time display wall control and room automation for a variety of industries and public sector organizations.
