SKYPLAY-series HDMI over wireless extender features intelligent wireless connections
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado—December 11, 2014—Liberty AV Solutions announces the upcoming release of the latest HDMI over wireless extender, SKYPLAY-DFS. This updated wireless solution expands upon the features included with current wireless extender, SKYPLAY-MX, such as dynamic frequency selection (DFS) to find the best wireless signal to use, physical buttons on the devices to setup the system when the IR remote is not available, and an EU version for use in Europe and Australia.
The wireless chipset used in the SKYPLAY-DFS ensures the integrity of digital signals, whether transmitting in open air spaces or through light construction. The SKYPLAY-DFS will distribute a 1080p video signal with audio up to 100 feet. The SKYPLAY-DFS-S transmitter will compile and generate the highest quality EDID based off the displays connected to paired SKYPLAY-DFS-R receivers, including multichannel audio. In addition to utilizing AES 128-bit encryption on the wireless signal, the SKYPLAYDFS features HDCP compliance to overcome installation woes.
Installation configurations include point-to-point, distribution amplifier (one transmitter paired up to four receivers), and switcher (up to four transmitters paired to a receiver). The North American versions of the SKYPLAY-DFS are listed without any additional suffixes. The European/Australian compliant products feature a -EU suffix (SKYPLAY-DFS -S-EU and SKYPLAY-DFS-R-EU).
