Lutron Electronics Joins Electronic Security Association
Posted on Wednesday, May 5, 2010

Coopersburg, PA  – Lighting control manufacturer Lutron Electronics Co., Inc., is pleased to announce its associate membership in the Electronic Security Association (ESA).

The ESA is the largest professional trade association in the United States whose purpose is to represent, promote and enhance the growth and professional development of the electronic life safety, security and integrated systems industry. In cooperation with a federation of state associations, ESA provides government advocacy and delivers timely information, professional development tools, products and services that members use to grow and prosper their businesses.

“Lutron’s ESA membership shows our dedication to the technology-rich security market” said Rich Matthews, residential sales director at Lutron. “Giving security installers the tools and know-how to sell whole-home lighting controls will not only grow their bottom line, but also provide an enhanced security experience for their homeowners.”

Lutron’s RadioRA 2 whole-home lighting control system and Sivoia QS Wireless shading system can be easily integrated with security and fire systems.

The benefits of a security system can be expanded to include these Lutron whole-home lighting control system benefits:

  • lights lock on at full brightness or flash when the security system is triggered
  • lights can be turned on from the safety of the car from the system’s visor control
  • lights can be scheduled to turn on so an empty house appears occupied
  • exterior lights can turn on at sunset, creating a safe, well-lit environment
