PESA’s PRO-8X8-HDMI-CAT is an 8 HDMI input by 8 HDMI output over CAT5 Matrix with IR Control Paths. This 1RU package supports the latest in HDCP compliance and allows full switching capabilities of each HDMI source to any or all outputs at the same time. The unit supports all the latest high definition video transports for HDMI up to 1080p60 – plus each source supports full multi-channel (up to 7.1) digital audio from any of the eight HDMI sources. The package includes the main 1RU frame and eight compact receiver modules that can be placed near the display or HDMI output source. By using two CAT5e or CAT6 cables for each of the eight compact receivers, the module can be placed up to 55m (180ft) from the main unit without power. Control of the PRO-8X8-HDMI-CAT is accomplished via standard RS-232, IR remote or from the local front panel pushbutton feature. Included with each system is a simple setup GUI interface for easy configuration and command switching Further, the built-in IR extension function allows remote users access to the DVD player, PS3 or any HDMI equipped devices directly.
