QATAR Olympic Committee was a real challenge for Arthur Holm’s team because of the limited available space on the conference table, the interior design and the room architecture. The solution was to design a compact retractable 12” touch screen with synchronized gooseneck microphone.
The cover plate was re-designed to take the minimum table top space and the Qatar Olympic Committee logotype was laser engraved. The classic look of Dynamic2 fitted perfectly with the room interior style, sober and elegant, and matched beautifully with the table finish. The contrast between aluminium, stainless steel and noble wood produced a very neat result. Thanks to the screen small size, the view of the conference attendants remains clean, while having access to interactive applications and sound reinforcement to ensure the correct acoustic of the meetings.
In this custom solution, the space was optimized by adding a synchronized moving “gooseneck” type microphone. Both the screen and the microphone eject and retract simultaneously and the “Speak” and “Mute” buttons are accessible on the monitor’s cover plate. The solution is fast, silent, robust, especially compact and very easy to install.
Located in Doha, the Qatar Olympic Committee was created in 1979. With the diversification and intensification of sports activities and participation of the Qatar National teams in international, regional and continental competitions in the mid 70’s, the need for its establishment was imminent. Qatar started its participation in the Olympic Games in 1976 and so far, 4 medals have been achieved.
