At the 18th Driving Simulation & Virtual Reality Conference & Exhibition held 4-6 September in Strasbourg, France, Barco showcased several of its visual display solutions from projection, LED and LCD families with huge interest from the driving simulation community. Working closely with expert partners in the driving simulation segment, Barco demonstrated why it is a leader in the visualization display technology market for the Training & Simulation industry.
Together with its partners, Barco demonstrated the unique performance and capabilities of its projection, LED and LCD solutions bringing high resolution and powerful images to driving simulator applications. The demonstrations stood out as impressive testimony of the value brought to the automotive industry customers.
Premiered at partners domeprojection.com and Antycip Simulation’s booths, the Barco XT LED series showed why it has a place in the industry. Offering superior image performance, easy maintenance, and low power consumption, the XT series received great acclaim from the conference participants. Powered by Barco’s revolutionary Infinipix™ image processing solution, fast-moving images are displayed without tearing, smearing or video hiccups. The integrated automatic calibration feature makes sure the image is perfectly uniform and aligned across all tiles and remains consistent over time.
Barco partner, VI-grade, demonstrated its impressive Compact Sim driving simulator configured with the latest Barco FL40 LED projectors for bright, high resolution images, which also took center stage at the booth of domeprojection.com. The unique Barco Pulse processing platform, unified across all Barco projectors, demonstrated its versatility and power – in this case with domeprojection.com’s alignment & calibration system for a seamless, uniform images across multiple FL40 projectors.
At the ANSYS booth, Barco UniSee, the revolutionary, bezel-less videowall, was used to demonstrate their impressive driving sim technology. Unisee is an innovative and unique Barco LCD technology which has quickly been adopted into several large training & simulation programs.
Barco image processing power is the common denominator to deliver pixel-perfect images without smearing or artefacts in fast moving images for each of the technology demonstrations shown at DSC, whether it be: Barco Pulse for projection, Infinipix™ for LED, and Sense X for Unisee. Together these technologies represent the most advanced processing engines in the industry and bring to customers the best possible visual performance to replicate the real-world driving scenarios.
