New Online Submission Provides Streamlined Process for Specifying Lighting

Rockleigh, NJ, December 19, 2011 – Crestron announced today a new feature on its website that enables integrators, lighting designers and specifiers, architects and lighting manufacturers to put their fixtures to the test. The Lighting Fixture Test Request provides Crestron partners with a hub for submitting lighting fixtures for compatibility testing with Crestron lighting control products. The process gives users the ability to test and verify correct operations for the various lighting fixtures on the market. (LED, fluorescent, etc.) The Crestron report provides the dimming range and level of compatibility so they can spec the appropriate lighting solutions for the specific fixture, enabling optimal use for their clients.

This Lighting Fixture Compatibility Chart lists which Crestron lighting devices have been tested and are compatible with third party lighting fixtures. The Lighting Fixture Test Request provides an assessment of fixtures not listed on the compatibility chart. The Lighting Fixture Test Request is available to everyone. Website visitors can simply login or create a free account, provide fixture model details and submit the request for their fixture to be tested. Crestron will confirm receipt of the submission and provide instructions for where the fixture should be sent for testing. Once the testing is complete Crestron will send the fixture(s) back to the user at the return address specified, along with a printed copy of the test report within three to four weeks of submitting.

"The new Lighting Fixture Compatibility Request Test provides Crestron partners with a simpler way to spec a project," says Crestron Director of Engineering Rushi Kumar. "Installers, architects, lighting designers and specifiers can avoid incompatibility issues often found once systems are installed in the field. Everything is pre-tested so their lighting solutions will work seamlessly."
