Hsinchu, Taiwan, January 26, 2023 – Lumens® Digital Optics Inc. and Nureva have today announced an integration that marks a significant evolution in hybrid meetings. Nureva's patented Microphone Mist technology provides full-room microphone pick-up and sound location data to Lumens USB conferencing cameras to deliver voice-activated video tracking.

"Wall-mounted AV speaker and microphone systems and web cams have typically offered a static view of a meeting room. This can provide a very flat and unengaging experience for remote guests. Nureva's HDL300 system integration with Lumens changes all this," said Steven Liang, Head of Product Development at Lumens Digital Optics Inc.

Using Nureva's sound location device API, available through the Nureva® Developer Toolkit, and Lumens CamConnect software, the integration allows sound location data from Nureva audio systems to steer views of Lumens USB PTZ cameras accurately and smoothly to where people are speaking in the room.

The initial roll-out integrates Lumens USB cameras with the Nureva HDL300 and Dual HDL300 system, with further support for other models to follow.
