The SATSAS225ODD dual 2.5” SATA/SAS removable hard drive + slim optical drive hot swap backplane allows a single 5.25in front bay to fit two 2.5in SATA or SAS hard drives or Solid State Drives (HDD/SSD), as well as and a slimline SATA optical drive (CD/DVD/BD).
Using a single Mini SAS SFF-8087 interface for quick setup and easy maintenance and with removable and lockable drive trays, the hard drives can easily be taken out of the system, but also secured from unauthorized removal. The slim optical bay fits most off-the-shelf slim optical drives and a built-in cooling fan helps keep the installed devices running optimally. To maximize performance and utilize the full speed potential of your SATA III hard drives, this HDD backplane supports SATA III for transfer speeds up to 6 Gbps when paired with a compatible controller.
