On 14 October 2015, around 200 officials from the governments of the Republic of Korea and the US gathered in Washington DC. The occasion? Celebrating the excellent, long-term partnership between both countries over a delicious dinner. President of the Republic of Korea Park Geun-hye graced the evening with her presence as well.
To ensure a memorable evening, the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked Korean rental company Good Media to set up a spectacular AV show (at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium). Good Media, which has been a trusted Barco partner for years, set up a mesmerizing, three-sided immersive projection in the historic building. Each individual screen measured 24.23 m by 30.8 m. Their weapon of choice? Eight units of Barco’s HDF-W30 projector for large venues.
The on-screen visuals were controlled by Barco’s highly-advanced video processing and presentation control system Encore. The result was nothing less than spectacular, with images that perfectly complemented the orchestra’s swirling symphonies.
