Introducing the 21st Annual Biamp Portland Jazz Festival

BEAVERTON, Ore. — Biamp, a leading supplier of professional audiovisual solutions, will once again serve as title sponsor of the 2024 Biamp Portland Jazz Festival, which runs February 16th to March 2nd. This year’s edition is hosted in more than 30 venues across the Portland metro area featuring a diverse set of artists including many Grammy® Award-winners and NEA Jazz Masters.

The festival commences on Friday, February 16th, with several free performances across Portland. The night is headlined by a special performance from multi-Grammy Award and Oscar Winner Jon Batiste at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. The two-week festival concludes on Saturday, March 2, highlighted by a performance from the Louis Cole Quartet at the Roseland Theater. Cole is a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist.

For the first time, jazz-inspired dance will make its festival debut with the world premiere of a PDX Jazz commissioned piece, The Age of Influence, featuring Shaun Keylock Company with music by Methods Body. Jazz fans will have two nights to see the piece, February 23 and 24, at the Winningstad Theatre.

“The Portland Jazz Festival is an annual Portland institution and we are proud to be part of it as the title sponsor once again,” said Joe Andrulis, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Biamp. “The festival is a showcase for local, national, and international artists, helping to celebrate and preserve America’s true indigenous art form. It also highlights Portland’s commitment to the arts and connects us all through the shared experience of great music.”

The Portland Jazz Festival will feature more than 60 performances and events, including education and outreach programs extending into Portland’s schools and neighborhoods, featuring a generous offering of free performances, film, and jazz conversations.
